Dreaming of Europe? We believe SA is the finest state in the world, but
that doesn't mean we too aren't affected by a little 'wanderlust'! Bring
the beauty of Europe to you with a Tuscany inspired wedding,
highlighting the best parts of Southern Europe and creating a intimate
and rustic bridal soiree...
Introduce Italian-inspired rustic elements into your style to create the effortless style so characteristic of chic Europeans. They combine glamorous pieces with earthy elements, such as woods and luxurious materials, for style that is enviably glam! Consider wooden table tops with golden cutlery and crystal motives to ensure your mix of rustic and luxury is spot on!
For true authenticity, aim to ensure your food and bomboniere are also European inspired. A 'bread' bar with fresh crusty loafs is a delicious idea, as are Italian inspired wedding favours. Think quality olive oil, homemade tomato sauce or a fabulous bottle of wine.

This gorgeous bar offers a unique experience and one that will certainly
be a topic of conversation long after the day is over! Add a little
special shimmer to your wedding photos with sequins and glitter or opt

romance, sensuality and artistic ambiance as you illuminate the nigh

Invite your guests to join you for a sophisticated, elegant and kid free wedding reception. Cocktail lounges are elite and beautiful, romantic and special. We think they make for the perfect venue, with lounges, catering and music. Undeniably non-traditionally we love the style and class associated with a cocktail lounge venue.
Create a unique reception concept and program, cake cutting and
speeches on arrival? This will allow guests to party the night away.
Perhaps have a designated lounge area for parents and bridal party,
playing off the tradition of the bridal party table.
Slip into something a little more fun and sexy for the reception. A wedding gown in a cocktail lounge might get a little hot and not be the most comfortable choice. Gold sequins have always been a fan of ours, or somehting like this gorgeous, white flowing dress is very pretty and appropriate.

Perhaps you’ve got an undying love for floral prints, Cameo pins, antique collectables or your pear shaped 1ct engagement ring… The antique inspired wedding scheme encases all things vintage, feminine and pretty. Take your guests on an adventure to eras gone by with classy and classic fashion, décor, food and favours all inspired by the fabulous Marie Antoinette. For a soft and stylish wedding aspire to these antique accents in your day.
If you channel you inner Marie Antoinette you immediately vision opulent designs, gorgeous gowns and luxe everything. A chateau dressed in timeless tones of pastels, pinks and gold’s are the perfect backdrop for this soiree. The aim – a plethora of cakes, a multitude of props and intricate details. As a bride, the search for your gown should be one that brings out the soft, sweet and fancy side of you, so think ball gown shapes, layers and a lot of beading and detail.
Lavish floral arrangements and chandeliers, elongated tables and chaise back chairs all make for luxurious extra details. Gold vases contrast beautifully with china dinnerware in muted pastel tones and gold trimmings. Your stationery should reflect the theme with cursive writing and an ornate border; why not have them cut in the shape of a handheld mirror, such a super cute idea. Create a seating area styled with antique sofas and armchairs complete with a few pouffes for your guests comfort, just like the picture below.

Plato once said that beauty of style, harmony, grace and good rhythm
depend on simplicity. Ultimately, less is more. Sometimes, however, it
takes a lot of effort to look like you haven’t put in any effort at all.
Which is why we have put together our favourite ‘less is more’ styling
concepts – ideas in neutrals that are elegant, not boring.
White is crisp, timeless and looks fabulous when teamed with earthy
woods, taupes and…more white! Understated sophistication is a peony
bouquet, a freshly picked flower placed in a rustic glass and a loosely
folded napkin on white tablecloth.
Simple details will keep your styling interesting and without a frenzy of colour the beautiful details are what guests will notice. A place card handwritten with love will not be overlooked and a succulent plant is a bomboniere gift that complements the natural, effortless styling. In a fast-moving world colour palettes come and go but style lasts forever.

music in as much of your wedding as you can for the perfect wedding
styling. Use guitars, pianos, violins etc. at props! Imagine a guitar
guest book, making for a gorgeous and sentimental keepsake. Treat your
guests to pianists or live musicians to create a cool atmosphere to
celebrate amongst, in style.
Sheet music is easily sourced and has a gorgeous vintage feel. A versatile textile which can used throughout your entire day! How amazing are all these gorgeous ideas?

How seriously stunning is this colour?! It is so under appreciated that we have take it upon ourselves to shine the spotlight on it. A nod to the ‘60s and ‘70s, cadmium orange evokes a sentiment or optimism, fun and fantasy. Both playful and sophisticated in its appeal, Cadmium Orange is a warm, welcoming and subtly dramatic orange shade that is striking enough to stand on its own or act as a bold contrast. A beautiful colour for autumn weddings, but don’t be afraid to utilise this is the gorgeous spring weather.
Orange can look opulent and expensive when accessorised with gold and other warm colours and textures or when paired with crisp white and even grey. Pack a punch with a statement making cadmium orange bridesmaid gown or let the flowers do the talking; the cooler months also provide stunning opportunities for fresh flowers in gorgeous hues.

Burn baby, burn. This wedding is all about the glitz of the wild disco era; dazzling mirror balls and A LOT of fun. For the couple who love to dance and want their wedding to reflect the fun of a dance party, this wedding style is for you. We’ve put a modern spin on the retro era by toning down the colour scheme a little. Sparkly golds, navys and silver will turn disco fever wedding appropriate so you can maintain an element of style and still whip out your favourite dance moves from Saturday Night Fever.
There's no doubt about it, disco is funky, which is why your styling is going to be a little more eccentric than the average wedding. Mirrored balls are a must - but if you're worried about going too OTT, use them in more subtle ways than your usual in your face types hanging from the ceiling. Place cards on mini disco balls are so cute, or you can merely interpret the disco ball into a modern and cool alternative. These photo booth backgrounds are glitzy and very disco, and disco balls make a fabulous prop for guests to pose with. Bejeweled heels will also sparkle and do the job or you can add a touch of disco shine to your bouquet and bridesmaids outfits.
When you invite guests to a disco wedding, you're setting the standard high - they're going to expect to have a GOOD time. You need to set the atmosphere to get the dance floor crowded and everybody on their feet. Pick your favourite disco jams, and ensure the drinks are flowing. Put your drinks menus in photo frames that reflect your disco style and a mini disco ball on top of your cake is the perfect finishing touch. Finally, create the scene of the disco era with mirrored hanging lights and disco ball string lights that will ensure light is dancing over the walls all night.

So usually when you mention using skulls in your wedding décor people pull the funniest faces at the thought – it’s quite amusing to say the least – but we bet they have never seen them look this good! Inspired by an Alexander McQueen scarf that caught our eye here at the office, it combined girlie pink with edginess through the incorporation of the iconic Alexander McQueen skull. Ladies, we promise you, this post proves that, if need be, skulls can be incorporated into a wedding and still look bridal.
There are so many shapes, forms and sizes that skull heads come in! One of our absolute fave is using Swarovski encrusted skulls; they are girly, glam and look spectacular when paired with fresh florals and candles. Bell jars covering black skulls add an air of modern chicness to any centrepiece, especially when placed on a mirrored base. The key to pulling off skull décor is to keep the palette high-end and clean through the use of black, white, gold or even botanicals, the aim is to make them stand out.

This extraordinary foliage really puts the “d” in dreamy. Growing wildly in seas of feathery foliage, this grass looks sublime swaying in the air, these chameleonic species lend a softly sculptural element to wedding styling. It’s the touch of luxe that your nuptials need, standing at up to 5 feet tall in plumes of white or pink hues. For the perfect ceremonial drama create an incredible backdrop of pampas grass plumes, arranged in larger than life fan formations, an overhead canopy, an enclosed circle or as giant clusters spilling from urns.
The feathery plumes are lush and flashy so they don’t need many other flowers to compliment the,. However, they do look stunningly striking against green foliage for your centrepieces and bouquets. You can also use it to decorate your wedding arch or table, venue entrance, or in any other creative way. We've chosen a sweet palette of pinks, reds and golds for our 'xoxo' style, as a tribute to love. Of course, you could use any colour palette that takes your fancy as it's easy to create some 'xoxo' elements. These gold cake toppers are simple and adorable, providing guests with not only a piece of cake, but also a very special kiss and hug. If you can, incorporate 'xoxo' into your wedding stationery, from invitations to menus, to ensure consistency across your styling. "XO" helium filled balloons are the perfect photography prop - use them creatively to create the most adorable pics. Chocolate kisses are an ideal bonbonniere choice (because honestly, who doesn't love chocolate and kisses? Even better combined!).

A picnic wedding is laid back, unique + so much fun when it comes to the simplicity of a summer wedding – especially when an outdoor ceremony turns to a night of fun under the stars. Picnic rugs with matching baskets to lawn games + a whole lot of cheese + wine makes for the ultimate outdoor summer soiree. Its time to get creative ladies; DIY sandwich bars, barrels of beer, festoon lighting + you could even get your handy hubby-to-be to construct a much needed lemonade stand.
