So usually when you mention using skulls in your wedding décor people pull the funniest faces at the thought – it’s quite amusing to say the least – but we bet they have never seen them look this good! Inspired by an Alexander McQueen scarf that caught our eye here at the office, it combined girlie pink with edginess through the incorporation of the iconic Alexander McQueen skull. Ladies, we promise you, this post proves that, if need be, skulls can be incorporated into a wedding and still look bridal.
There are so many shapes, forms and sizes that skull heads come in! One of our absolute fave is using Swarovski encrusted skulls; they are girly, glam and look spectacular when paired with fresh florals and candles. Bell jars covering black skulls add an air of modern chicness to any centrepiece, especially when placed on a mirrored base. The key to pulling off skull décor is to keep the palette high-end and clean through the use of black, white, gold or even botanicals, the aim is to make them stand out.

It's burlap, hessian or canvased material... what ever tickles your little descriptive fancy. A super cool, easily accessible and underrated texture which we think looks amazing with lace. A palette doesn't always just consist of colours but also textures. Textures can come in the form of material and/or a particular mixture of colours and tones... Lace is a popular texture to work with, and it's super versatile. Predominantly in white or cream, paired with any colour, a unique scheme and vibe is created. Take lace and black - chic, sophisticate, sultry and moody... or lace and pale pink - so feminine, pretty, romantic and soft.
This palette combines the harshness and organic qualities or burlap with the femininity of lace. Like chalk and cheese, but we think it works oh so well!

Stand alone table numbers are a gorgeous modern trend, we are loving! These little beauties are easily accessible and come in a range of colours and sizes. Create a visual delight for guests with a table full of artistic character. Table numbers can be a mundane element of a tablscape, vital for guests and venue staff to navigate. Make them a gorgeous aspect with numbers of the free standing sort.
Easily adaptable, you can chose your free standing numbers to completely suit your wedding scheme. Gold glitter for the glitzy bride, a traditional white for the modern bride and numbers dressed in ribbons and of different sizes for the quirky bride - go for you life ladies, there are no rules.
