Selecting bridesmaid dresses - it will either be the most fun or hardest thing you have to do for your big day. Same colour, different styles is a great idea to make the process so much easier so your girls can chose a style they find most flattering and comfy.
There is something really modern and funky about different styles as well. It creates visual interest and allows your bridesmaids to show off a little of their personality– white still looking a quite uniform and formal.

Captivating, on trend and fashion forward... make a statement with this unconventional wedding gown style. 'Midi length' is technically any hem line which falls below the knee and above the ankle. Often perceived as retro or vintage, we have some dresses that kick this concept to the side. These dresses are modern and cutting edge; we think they scream sophistication and style.
Whether you prefer A-line, full tulle or a two piece we have found a gorgeous gown for you.

Providing your bridesmaids with some silk robes on your wedding day is such a beautiful idea. Not only will your photos look gorgeous, it’s a lovely gift for your girls to keep. We love these pastel options!

If your the kind of bride who wears braids, bat-wings, henna, flowers in her hair, bare feet or just love a relaxed vibe, then a bohemian wedding might be your style. Like the "just woke up, bed-hair-bun" that every girl has spent hours in front of the mirror trying to achieve, the effortless look sometimes takes a little more work than one would image so take some inspiration from these gorgeous weddings and get your boho on...
We think these beautiful chalkboard invites are so alternative and fun. The flowers against the washed out black is so boho!
The most important rule to bohemian success is there are no rules. Try to not put too much thought into the details... perhaps chose a neutral or broad colour scheme and select decor and attire that isn't symmetrical or perfectly polished. We think these bridesmaids look amazing in non-matching dresses, carrying random bouquets that aren't identical.

Cranberry and mustard; could it be the new and improved peanut butter and jelly? We will let you be the judge of that but we certainly love the colour combo!
The vibrancy of the colours are as perfect for each other as you and hubby. They look so good together we almost want to eat it!
Imagine providing your guests with a delicious beverage, matching the colour scheme. It's amazing how much of a 'wow factor' small touches like this will make.
10 October 2014
It's a balmy evening, Sauv Blanc in hand and acoustic tunes fill the air, shoes are kicked off and soft grass is at your toes; this could be your wedding reception. Garden weddings are unique and special; not to mention how fabulous your photos will be.
Have fun decorating with bright colours focusing on tones found in the garden; pinks, yellows, blues and greens are ideal.
Play on the garden theme and be creative with decor like this wheelbarrow with seeds for guests to take or an area for the ladies to kick off their heels and have a dance.
Try to remember to constantly refer back to your wedding theme or colour palette during the planning process. This will make for a polished event that flows, from invite, to cake and the final send off.
Create a whimsical event for guests... lanterns, fairy lights and tulle are perfect for this.

A creative way to interpret a colour palette is to use one colour in many different shades. This green colour scheme looks stunning with emeralds, mint, turquoise and grass-green.
Choosing bridesmaid dresses in different shades will really communicate and embrace the colour scheme and produce captivating photos.
Surprise your guests and wear a coloured wedding dress; it's stunning, modern and doesn't this colour just look so enchanting!

Gold and coral- such a dreamy combination; think peaches and cream, Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big and champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries.
The elegance of the gold compliments the vibrancy of the coral making for a splash of stunning. Take a look for yourselves...

Our current obsession: tutu bridesmaid dresses! This fun, feminine trend is the cutest way to work tulle into your bridesmaid fashion. We love the array of pastel hues, which work beautifully with the tulle to create the softest and sweetest bridesmaid dresses. Alternatively, BRIGHT hues work for the retro vibe who desires to incorporate a POP of fifties into her look. Long, floaty tulle tutu skirts provide a more elegant appeal, while a two piece skirt and top combo work for relaxed soirees… xx

Pop! Pow! A gorgeous way to add a splash of colour to your wedding is through the bridesmaid dresses or flowers. Sometimes, it can be tricky to match vibrant hues together - especially if you reaaaally want colourful flowers AND bridesmaid dresses (we don't blame you, we're suckers for anything eye-catching!). In order to match colourful bouquets to bright bridesmaid dresses, just follow these simple steps:
Choose a block colour as your bridesmaid dress, or else the entire combo may become a little busy!
A simplistic dress design will allow you to be more creative with your flowers - anything too detailed might take the attention away from your amaaaazing bouquets.
You have two options: choose flowers that complement the colours in your bridesmaid dresses, for example, a gradient of purple hue OR choose the opposite of the colour wheel. This means that if your main girls are wearing a purple dress, incorporate yellow into the bouquet, or if they are wearing turquoise, create orange arrangements for them to carry. This will ensure the colours really POP!

If you're a bridesmaid then you must be feeling pretty excited about your best girlfriend's upcoming wedding! She's chosen you for a reason - because you are most near and dear to her and she wants you by her side on her big day. Help her collect memories by gathering the other bridesmaids together to create a 'letter to the bride' scrapbook or folder. Each of you create something personal, whether it be a page in the book or a simple letter, then present them to the bride the night before the wedding. It's special keepsakes like this that we treasure forever...xx

We love this seriously cute photo opportunity! Each bridesmaid has written down how they met the bride on a chalkboard - it's a fabulous way to reminisce and to see how far your friendship has come! So your hubby-to-be did it, now it’s time for YOU to pop the big question…to your best girlfriends. “Will you be my bridesmaid?” is a question you (hopefully) only ask once in your life, so make it special and unique. We’ve put together a few different ways to ask the leading ladies in your life to stand by your side on your wedding day. You can ask with a simple unique card and you could get really creative and make your own. A special note inside will be a memento for your girlfriends to keep forever. The best part is they can reflect your own personal style (no fiancé to consider with these invites!), from formal and glamorous to whimsical DIY.
BHLDN offer sweet handkerchiefs sewn with “Will you be my bridesmaid?” – totally adorable and perfect for when the happy tears start flowing at the alter. Another idea is to put together special bridesmaid survival kits. Include specifications of their duties (moral support, checking for lipstick on the teeth etc), tools for minor emergencies (bobby pins, stain remover, mending kit, Panadol etc) and a disposable camera to capture the planning process.
If you’re a foodie, say it with something that reflects your passion. Personalised biscuits will satisfy a sweet tooth or get wine labels made up for your favourite bottles of sparkling, champagne or shiraz. You can pop them open over a bridesmaids’ brunch or keep them to celebrate a wedding anniversary in many years. However you decide to ask, ask with love and celebrate that you are blessed to have such special girls by your side during your 'I Do's'.

“I’ve found my man but I still need my girls!”…Celebrate your hens night in style with this gorgeous Chanel theme – there’s not a pair of fluffy handcuffs or feather boa in sight. Not that there’s anything wrong with going totally wild, but if your life revolves around fashion and all things fabulous (Coco’s words, not ours) then this Chanel hens night styling is a tres chic way to say goodbye to bachelorette life with a bang. Pink, gold, white and black is our sexy colour scheme for the night you may not remember, but will never want to forget.
Chanel is all about the classics – and nothing is more classic than a LBD (little black dress). Each bridesmaid / guest should wear her favourite LBD with a killer pair of heels so that they’re all matching. As the bride, you could wear a pink or white dress to stand out from the crowd – and your photos will look fab. We love the idea of the photobooth in the pics below – the perfect prop is Karl Lagerfelds head, of course! Coco Chanel had an infamous love for flowers, particularly Camellias, so decorate your space with an abudance of fresh and fragrant blooms.
Chanel themed cocktail food is a great way to kick off the night, before the champagne starts flowing of course, how chic are these quilted Chanel cupcakes? ...and what goes perfectly with cocktail food? COCKTAILS! These vibrant berry cosmopolitans will have you up and dancing a la Carrie Bradshaw in no time.
A hens night needs to be minimum lameness and maximum fun – think of some creative games that will keep the laughs coming. We recently went to a Hens Night where each guest had to choose a dare out of a jar and complete it by the end of the evening – needless to say it was hilarious watching the girls whip out some interesting moves on the dance-floor or convincing strangers that they’re foreigners. Ex-charades was another fun game – divide the guests into teams and take it in turns pretending to be on the bride’s former hook ups, boyfriends or crushes. Just make sure hubby-to-be isn’t around!

Shoes, shoes, glorious shoes. A gorgeous pair of heels is an absolute must on your wedding day; God wouldn’t have given us Manolo Blahniks if he didn’t want us to wear them. Lately, brides are ditching the traditional wedding shoe for something a little different, whether it is a bright colour or a hot platform heel. The current fashion trends have a major influence and as far as stilettos go this season – the sky’s the limit. Style your wedding gown with a pair of white heels and add a touch of glamour with some stylish bling. Feminine cut out shapes are on trend and look amazing with a tan peeping through. If you are a fan of a classic pump shape, snap up a pair with a textured finish to keep your look up to date.
As for bridesmaids, a silver heel will look great no matter what colour gown you’ve styled them with. The versatile colour is opulent and will finish their outfits with the right amount of sparkle. Just like the brides, the bridesmaids can say goodbye to your typical wedding pump. Modernise their looks with sexy ankle straps and save bridesmaids' feet with a comfortable platform they can dance all night in.

The illusion neckline is oh so hot for weddings right now. From the bride to the bridesmaids, designers everywhere are showing off a little décolletage through sheer materials. The faithful strapless gown has been around the block and we are welcoming this stylish spin on your classic cut. Perfect for bridesmaids, a chiffon neckline will take their gowns from simple to sleek, allowing you plenty of room to play around with opulent accessories. Statement clutch bags and shoes are the perfect details to complete the high-fashion look. Bridesmaids in illusion necklines are very now and very glamorous.

Can't get enough of the feminine and mystical shades of the sea? Good news! Turquoise is fresh, invigorating and on trend right now. We were inspired by the gorgeous shades of green and blue on the runway at Monique Lhuillier’s Spring 2013 show, particularly the breezy and elegant mint dress featured below. Shades of turquoise and mint look fabulously crisp with white and will have a calming effect on your big day. Pastel nail polish and makeup was also seen all over the runways, a look that we ourselves are sporting in the office (hello, aqua nails!). Minty décor is pretty and soft, try subtle additions such as frosted mint chairs and hanging lanterns, the colour also looks beautiful with bouquets of baby’s breath. Minty fresh!

Our land abounds in nature’s gifts, of beauty rich and rare. Yes, our country is full of beauty, gifted to us by talented Australian designers. When planning your wedding you don’t need to seek coveted international stylists; we think some of the world’s best talent is here within our very shores. Aussie designers like Mariana Hardwick, Mezi and Lisa Ho have us standing tall and proud (and looking pretty chic whilst doing so)…
