One of our choice looks this season is a modern industrial style. Modern industrial is all about combining rich textures to evoke a welcoming urban vibe, which brings us to one of our favourite elements – metal. Add a few metal accents to achieve the richly layered textures that define a modern style. Consider a bar cart with wrought iron pipe legs, or brushed brass candlesticks in your table décor. These accents of metallic texture will add a rich quality to the overall look. Take a look at all the fabulous ways you can include metal into your special day….

You’re getting married! You’re excited, your family is excited – even we are excited too! Once you have pulled your head from the newly engaged cloud, it’s time to get down to the fun stuff – planning. While thoughts of venues, gowns and possible wedding dates fill your head; don’t forget to look after yourself. Planning can be a crazy time, but you cant forget to plan your all important beauty timeline – get a tan before a wax and you might as well call yourself a Zebra. A major skin peeling facial the day before the wedding and you’ll be speed dialling your dermo before you can say “I do.” It’s a delicate planning process, so we have created this beauty timeline to get you wedding prepped…
Exercise Plan: Whether you work out regularly or only every now and then, its time to put a regular exercise routine into place. If you’re looking to lose weight, tone or even relieve stress, set goals for yourself and aim to smash them. This is so important to avoid crash diets a couple weeks out from the wedding – it takes a few weeks to reduce puffiness and not to mention, no one likes a bride in an ill-fitted dress.
Skin Diet: Lets face it, when it comes to our skin routine most of us have been slacking. Now is the time to up the ante! Repeat after me - cleanse, tone, target and moisturise EVERY morning and night and don’t forget to exfoliate once or twice a week too.
Hair & Makeup: It is never too early to begin consultation appointments for your wedding hair & makeup, but 4-5 is more than enough time to have a few trials and try different styles with different suppliers before you make your final decision. Avoid scheduling conflicts with your favourite hair & makeup stylists and book them as soon as possible.
Tan Testing: There is nothing worse as a girl than seeing someone with a really bad tan – we’re talking oompa loompa orange, streaky and splotchy patches – your wedding day is not the time to be a victim of this! It’s time to start different tanning techniques now. Whether gradual moisturiser is your go-to or a spray booth, give yourself time to test different options and take note of how your skin reacts and how the colour fades.
Regular Facials: It’s time to kick your skin game up a notch! Begin scheduling regular appointments with your beauty therapist for specially targeted treatments. Be sure to not fall asleep with your makeup on as this will hinder all the hard work you have done to make your skin glow.
Teeth Whitening: Don’t forget about your pearly whites! Check in with your dentist for a good cleaning and whitening session to brighten up your smile.
Hair Care: It is time to hit up your regular hairdresser for a little trim – aka split end removal – fresh highlights and a deep cleansing shine treatment. This treatment is not the day to go from blonde to brunette; it is more to get your locks looking healthy and luscious.
Exfoliation: Begin to scrub your body 2-3 times per week in the lead up to eliminate dry skin and remove any ingrown hairs or blocked pores, for all round smoother and softer skin – not to mention your tan will look fab!
Brow Shaping: Get your brows waxed, threaded or plucked to get them wedding day ready. Be careful to not go too thin or make any drastic changes and if any stray hairs appear before the big day, simply pluck them out carefully.
Waxing Session: Any area of your body that you need to wax, do so one week prior to the big day to allow any redness or inflammation to subside.
Mani/ Pedi: Pamper time! Grab your leading ladies and head to the nail salon for a fresh mani/pedi. Go no more than a few days before the wedding and keep in mind that a gel mani will mean no chips for at least 2 weeks.
Tan: Going in three days prior means you have enough time to shower and let the tan fade to its natural colour without the risk of it running onto your gown.
Hair: Depending on how well your hair holds, wash your hair two days out from the wedding as ‘dirty’ hair holds better on some girls. If you know that your hair hold styles better on day-old hair, than follow what you know!
Water & Beauty Sleep: Tomorrow is the big day! Ensure you get plenty of sleep – about 8-10 hours – and drink loads of water to stay hydrated and keep puffy eye bags away.
Smile: You made it – the countdown is over! Before you get dressed, make sure you moisturise from head-to-toe, spritz your perfume all over and don’t forget your most important beauty tool of the day – your smile!

Pampering yourself with a little TLC, beautifying and detoxifying are up there on the “yes please” list of most women. Think manicures, masks and martinis, its time to bring a little luxury to your bachelorette bash and forget about those awkward stripper moments – bring on the girl talk!! A cute DIY spa set up complete with bowls, towels and a ‘beauty bar’ are sure to set the mood and get your girls keen on a night of pampering, or alternatively, splurge little and hire a beauty therapist to do in-home treatments..
Put on a little Ed Sheeran, relax and share all the funny and embarrassing memories/stories of the bride-to-be - don’t forget the cucumber for those under eye circles! Refreshments and snacks are a must – why not try some homemade lemonade or flavoured water along with these adorable spa-themed cookies!

Marsala; a subtly seductive and stylish shade that is universally appealing and translates effortlessly into fashion, beauty and all things design. This elegant, full-boded statement colour easily draws one into its embracing warmth while impacting design on a large scale when used on its own or side-by-side to other colours.
A naturally robust and earthy wine red, Marsala enriches our minds, bodies and souls. Compliment this gorgeous shade with both rich and warm colours such as orange, pink and yellow, or even shades from the cooler end such as purples and blues.
When it comes to florals, selecting darker coloured flowers keep within the palette and look so beautiful. Burgundy dahlias, purple ranunculus and burgundy peonies are a popular floral choice. Many of these marsala flowers would pair beautifully with each other to create a “from the earth” colour scheme. Or you can arrange these blooms with white or pale pink or lavender blooms to brighten things up, making it a great palette for spring or summer wedding when colours tend to be lighter.

Inspired by the bluey-greys of an autumn storm, the prettiest palette of slate, grey and neutrals come together perfectly for a chic city celebration full of Parisian flair. The cool colours hint at an air of decadence, especially when mixed with bronze and brown shades to add warmth; these colours are the epitome of chic, so think elegant and opulent decor with chandeliers, mixed metals and lashings of lace for your dress.
To make this palette look pretty rather than cold, the key is to layer the shades rather than focusing on each colour separately. Make use of a range of fabrics to do this, which will also add a beautiful texture to proceedings. A Place setting with wooden chargers atop linen and ornate vintage cutlery wrapped with a pretty silk bow is the exact look for that vintage chic style.

Here’s a thought; why not a bridesmaid outfit that you will actually want to wear again?! We get it; you’ve heard it all before only to be sucked into layers upon layers of tulle in “unique” colours. But believe us when we say we have actually found the bridesmaid outfit you will want to wear again – enter: the bridesmaid jumpsuit! It’s truly a bridesmaid fashion revolution.
White, black, colourful or print - anything goes with bridesmaid jumpsuits. While you may be more accustomed to adding the likes of rosemary to your gravy or mint to your mojitos, herbs can quite surprisingly make the loveliest addition to your table settings, wedding favours, cake adornments and bouquet greenery. Imagine the scent of lavender filling the room with its sensual aroma as it is tossed in place of confetti, or the freshness of bay leaves that greet your guests as they take their place on the table. Be tantalised by the sweet scents and romance of herbs…
Add rustic chicness to your celebration with bundles of lavender dotted around either looses on tables or mixed in with arrangements. Rosemary gives naked wedding cakes a freshness about them and looks oh-so pretty while sage leaves are perfect for your bridal bouquet – you’ll be sure to make an impression as you walk down the aisle. As adults, we all love a good wedding – dressing up, catching up with
old friends, eating and drinking – but for the youngsters weddings are
often long and boring days for them. The good news is they don’t have to
be – we have the ultimate guide to avoiding those tiara and tantrum
moments. It’s all about the small changes; most of the time kids will
keep themselves entertained with one another, they are social little
butterflies after all!
KIDS ONLY AREA
Set aside an area for kids to play games, have fun and be out of the
way of adults. This tee pee is a gorgeous idea with nibbles and
pre-organised games. If your celebrating outdoors – why not keep the
kiddies entertained with their very own outdoor cinema. A projector
screen, plenty of cushions and blankets will keep them occupied all
Little activity and goodie packs are a fabulous idea for your
wedding, even if the kiddies will be seated with the adults. They will
love feeling like they are getting a present that is all theirs! Include
colouring in books, crayons, paper, bubbles, stickers, lollies, masks
for them to decorate, word games, maps, puzzles and other fun little
items that are sure to amuse them the entire night.
Make it more fun for the kids and seat them all together on a designated table. Use butcher paper as the tablecloth; include plenty of crayons and pencils and their let artistic juices flow. Why not add a few games or better yet, include a centrepiece that they can play with later, like the one below filled with Lego.
FOOD AND DRINK
When planning food and drinks, keep the children in mind. Offer
kid-friendly beverages, we think this lemonade stand is so sweet! It
will be a hit, but maybe water down some of the sweeter drinks… we all
know how a sugar high ends up. Why not include a candy buffet too or
even a cupcake decorating station.
Pinatas are a great idea to involve all ages, young and old. Both kids and adults can have fun hitting and collecting what comes out – and will make for some totally hilarious moments

Involve your fave movie into the theming – name each table after a different movie or have your favourite scenes playing on repeat on a screen for the evening. Make sure you don’t forget the popcorn though! Photobooth props – like those shown below – will make for the ultimate fun for your guests.

THE COUPLE: JESSICA + NATHAN
PALETTE: Gold, blush, white, creams, ivorys and lush green foliage.
THE DRESS: I was looking for something that fitted me perfectly, enhanced all the right areas, tied in with the theme and venue and most importantly, made me feel amazing! My gown certainly had the wow factor with a nude underlay and incredibly intricate embroideries and jewel-like detail covering the bodice. The light-structured silhouette was beautifully tailored throughout the body with gorgeous volume at the bottom and sheer lace covering the train.
THE CEREMONY: Our florist draped an abundance of roses and vines over the back of the chairs in the Orangerie and placed flowers down the aisle. Petal pouches were available for guests to toss as we made our exit. We also placed white framed vintage signage at the entrance and ‘order of ceremony’ cards outlining the proceedings. The arch windows of the room looked out onto the tennis court and vineyard so guests could see as the bridal party made their way into the room and up the aisle.
THE RECEPTION: We loved having the ceremony and reception all in one location. Guests walked from the ‘Orangerie’ through the vineyards to the lawns where they had pre dinner drinks whilst the bridal party wandered off for photos around the grounds. Our reception was held in a permanent Marquee set up across manicured gardens.
DECOR: We chose a selection of vintage lawn games, blankets rolled up and tied with twine, light up ‘L-O-V-E’ letters which sat in front of the bridal table and a letterbox with ‘cards’ bunting. We also dressed a table inside with a photo board of us, our love story in a gold frame, the proposal book, Bracegirdles chocolates and a guest scrapbook.
THE FLOWERS: My bridal bouquet featured a combination of white, cream, soft pink roses, Amy Lou roses, berries and green foliage, all tied together with a blush ribbon. The bridesmaids held a smaller version of mine, which was complemented by their faux green ivy head crowns. The little flower girls looked adorable in baby’s breath crowns.
PHOTOGRAPHER: We really wanted natural ‘in the moment’ type shots, which were not too posed. Nathan and I have worked with Meg in the past and she is amazing! We booked her from the beginning of the day until the end of the reception to capture every moment.

Gorgeous lush greenery provides a luxurious and polished look to your modern black tie event. Foliage is the new flower and we aren’t complaining one bit! Centerpieces of kept organic, full and low whilst the canvas is clean with hints of copper or gold. Roofs are adorned with botanical chandeliers while ceremony arbors and frames are filled with luscious greenery, achieving a lovely luxe look!
Botanics look beautiful displayed in bell jars and mason vases! Use your bell jars to make terrariums for your centrepieces or even mini versions make for a sweet favour. As a versatile concept, foliage mixes perfectly with timber, glass and geometric shapes for that added WOW factor.
Botanical themes are predominantly made up of lush foliage but be afraid to add some florals into your chandeliers or centrepieces. Elevated centrepieces look absolutely breathtaking when utilising long tables in your reception. Adding the element of candles makes for an air of romance and accents the rich colour and appearance of the foliage.

Add some instant glamour to your wedding with the use of mirror signs – a simple and striking addition to your nuptials. They look gorgeous and are reusable – simply use chalk markers to write with [nail polish will easily remove it after] and then wipe them clean once done and hang them around your new home together or reuse them for the reception. You can write everything from directions, to menus, bar lists or even seating plans!
Instead of using chalk markers, why not work with your stationery designer and print out seating chart cards to stick onto the mirror for a cleaner look. Monogramming your initials on a mirror makes for a gorgeous statement piece hanging on a flower wall placed either behind the bridal table or even hanging over the bar or dessert buffet.
Why not incorporate mirrors in an unconventional way and use mirror-based trays in different sizes and shapes attached to a backboard? This makes for a unique point of difference and can be tailored to your desire. Finish of the look with some gorgeous florals and you’re set to WOW your guests as they enter.

Royal blues, plush plums, deep purples and stunning emerald greens, this is one colour palette that is sure to leave your guest feeling regal and very rich! This striking mix of dark tones works so well when combined with different textures; lace, dark stained timber and velvet are the perfect accents to this opulent palette. Set your scene in an old country estate and go wild with your flower décor and add those finishing touches with hints of gold or silver.
Go for a wedding dress that is slightly boho but also glamorous. Lots of vintage lace, maybe even a velvet ribbon bow around your waist. For your bridesmaids go for different rich shades of purple and emerald. Deep tones mixed with bright colours and decadent green leaves give your wedding bouquet a rich and luxurious look.
Adorn your cake with berries and roses for a lush feast-like effect. Such notable success does not come without hard work, nor without a repertoire of colourful accomplishments. Tiziana won a scholarship to the Accademia di Costume edi Moda in Rome, where she gained invaluable knowledge about the art of fashion with the best fashion masters, including Valentino, and at only seventeen Adriana visited the Giorgio Armani showroom in Milan to select their latest in-store collections. Their diverse skillset and savvy business mindsets are what make these ladies the go-to girls for event styling! Armed with unrivalled originality and the ability to bring to life the wedding day that every bride dreams of, Tiziana and Adriana tailor a personal and unique experience for each event from the initial consultation to the finishing touches. “We pride ourselves on creating the perfect occasion every time and we are personally involved with every aspect of our clients’ special event, including design, planning, production and management”, they explain. We were able to squeeze into the high-demand schedules of Adelaide’s creative fashionistas to sit down and find out exactly what drives the masterminds behind Bizzarro…
favourite industry leader...
Jeff Leatham. We believe his designs are absolutely breathtaking! We have watched all ten of the ‘Flowers Uncut with Jeff Leatham’ episodes and are inspired by everything he creates. We hope to one day meet him at the Four Seasons Hotel, George V in Paris, where he is currently the artistic director.
We are inspired by fashion, artwork, textiles, international magazines and classic movies that transport you to another era. Whenever we sit down with a client and they share their vision, we immediately take notes while our minds are creating hundreds of ideas, concepts, colours, flowers and candles…the list goes on!
a fresh approach to weddings..
We bring a unique innovative design to every project and always endeavour to create ‘wow factor’ at events we design, decorate or style. We like to give people something to talk about when they leave! When we book a wedding, we treat that event as if it were our own. You become part of our Bizzarro family! Every last detail follows a style guide or theme and from the very beginning through to the very end we work with our clients to transform their ideas into reality.
We have been very fortunate to receive some beautiful compliments over the years; however, the most amazing feeling for us is to see the wonderful expression on people’s faces as they receive our floral designs!

Velvet is one of those chic elements that can transcend through every season with just a simple play on colour. For those summer vibes, beautiful bronze + blush crushed tones are the perfect hues to pull of velvet, while deeper, darker tones of marsala, emerald + blues compliment the chilly season.
A little dose of velvet can pack a big punch; the simplicity of velvet ribbon-tied accessories for your wedding is beautiful. Tie velvet around your bouquets and boutonnieres, around your dress as a belt or even include it in your wedding stationery – a velvet lined envelope makes for an elegant look and feel. Why not go down a unique path and incorporate flowers with a velvety feel to your florals – lambs ear or velvet flower make for the perfect subtle inclusion of velvet.
From top-to-toe, your groom has many options when it comes to this striking component – from velvet bow ties to velvet loafers. For those chillier seasons, why not dress your groom in a suave marsala or deep navy velvet suit jacket for added aesthetics.

We adore each and every one of these gorgeous flower girl hair
styles! Whether her hair is long, short, blonde, brunette
or in between we have an adorable style for you. Use plenty of
flowers, real or imitation, whether it be in the form of a flower
crown, head band or floral pins. If your flower girl won’t be
dolled up, dress up her
look with hair accessories.
Depending on your flower girls age, the style of your wedding dress and her dress, you can choose hair styles accordingly. A slick bun or loose curls; even keep her hair completely natural and implement floristry for a really beautiful casual look.
We just adore braids of all shapes and sizes… pigtails and loose braids are cute and girly or alternatively, incorporate braids into a bun for a really formal option.

You’ve done it! You’ve pulled off the bachelorette party of the century, you've found your bestie the dress of her dreams and you’ve strategically survived those mini-meltdowns. All the highs and lows have lead you to this very important day - the wedding day! We have you covered with a no-fail wedding day checklist that is sure to make you the best Maid of Honour to go down in history… you ready?
1. Prepare and have on hand an emergency kit that contains things like bobby pins, Hollywood tape, mints, deodorant, a sewing kit and an all important makeup touch-up kit.
2. Make sure that the bride has eaten breakfast! It’s going to be a long day and she [along with the bridal party] probably won’t eat until the reception.
3. Relieve a little of the bride's stress and take her phone away from her, deal with any issues that may arise or supplier queries.
4. Make sure that the bride is happy with the outcome of her hair and makeup – there is nothing worse than a bride that doesn’t feel her absolute best on her big day!
5. Keep an eye out for the bride's gown, train and veil and adjust accordingly throughout the day.
6. Hold the bride's bouquet as she says her ‘I dos’.
7. Sign the marriage license along the dotted line with the best man.
8. Play hostess at the reception – greeting people, thanking them for coming and ensure they are even signing the guest book.
9. Make a totally epic speech and toast at the reception! Limit your drinks before hand though; after all you’ve made it this far.
10. Check with the bride that she has eaten and has everything she needs.
11. Accompany her to the bathroom, hold her dress and don’t forget the emergency kit – the perfect touch up opportunity for you both!
12. Make sure you gather all the gifts and cards at the end of the night and do a final walk through of the venue to make sure nothing is left behind.
13. Most importantly: make sure the bride is having FUN - it is her special day after all!
It's time to go out and be the best Maid of Honour EVER!

THE COUPLE: CATRINA + ALEXIS
PALETTE: Black, ivory and gold. We wanted our colour palette to reflect our personalities, crisp, sophisticated, stylish and elegant with attention to fine detail. I loved the idea of a neutral base of black and ivory with added gold for a touch of ‘glitz’.
THE DRESS: I was looking for a simple, non-traditional, slim fitting gown, which would encapsulate femininity, romantic elegance and sensuality within the design. The bodice was handcrafted with French lace that was meticulously placed over a tan coloured mesh. The sleeves and sweetheart neckline were simple leading to a feature low back. The skirt was made of silk crepe with a short train and minimal lace detail to ensure the bodice stood out.
THE CEREMONY: We initially dreamed of exchanging vows in a garden yet decided to keep with tradition and marry in a church. Alexis has always had a passion for character architecture, so he fell in love with the intricate details of our ceremony venue. We loved the church so much we left it as is with minimal decorative touches.
THE RECEPTION: For the reception, we chose The Pulpshed at Glen Ewin Estate with its picturesque lake and gardens. The venue was the perfect blank canvas for our elegant Hollywood theme and we transformed the rustic barn into a night of glitz and glamour.
THE DÉCOR: The reception set up consisted of rectangular tables and in the centre of each were two bronze five-arm candelabras and a floral arrangement in a black glass vase. Every guests’ place setting included a gold charger plate and black Chiavari chairs for seating. A glamorous lounge area nestled in the corner with burgundy French provincial lounge chairs and black velvet ottomans. The bridal party backdrop feature was a stunning wall of hanging black vintage mirrors while the ceiling and walls were draped with a soft white satin material. As an alternative to serving coffee to the tables, we chose to have our very own barrister and coffee cart, serving coffee from his 1920’s custom-made bicycle.
THE FLOWERS: I opted for all white flowers with added greenery. For my bridal bouquet I decided on a combination of snowberries, spray roses, bouvardia, Queen Anne’s lace and small daisies. There were also hanging flower arrangements across the ceiling, alternating between crystal chandeliers.
PHOTOGRAPHER: Alexis and I were looking for natural, classic photography with a hint of black and white vintage style shots. From the moment we met Kim from Panache Photography we knew he would do a fantastic job. Kim was down to earth, friendly and professional. He worked extremely hard on the day, stayed for the entire night, and even agreed to a night shoot in the city following the reception.
