Both Reese Witherspoon and Tina Fey arrived to the Oscars looking very lovely as usual … both wearing pretty much the same thing, even rocking the same red carpet pose - talk about an awkward moment!
However, these two starlets weren’t the only A-lister’s with red carpet blunders – Zuri Hall and Stephanie Bauer donned gowns that looked eerily similar despite the difference in colour…
Jennifer Garner and Sofia Vergara’s gowns had some very obvious likenesses – statement sides, a mixture of material and embellishments and even the structure of the ruching on the sides resembled one another!
Either these starlets coordinated or they’re going to be really annoyed at their stylists!

When it comes to wedding selections, it’s fair enough to say that there are some major make-or-break decisions involved. Before you and hubby-to-be sign across the dotted line and put down a deposit, there are some important questions that you may want to ask your wedding photographer…
1. How would you describe your wedding photography style?
Before you choose your wedding day photographer, make sure their style matches your desired look. A photographer that shoots candid, more traditional images probably wouldn’t suit a couple that were after artistic, photo journalistic styled images. Have a glance through their previous work and chat with them about what you were after to ensure you are the perfect fit for each other.
2. Have you ever photographed a wedding at [insert venue]?
If not, then perhaps a tour of the venue would be beneficial for your photographer so that they can get a feel for the space and figure out their best angles, hidden locations and spots to capture the perfect moments.
3. Do you have a list of shots?
If your photographer has complied a list of poses they would like to shoot you and hubby-to-be in, kindly ask for a copy to ensure that you are happy with the direction and feel.
4. How many hours will you be shooting? Is there an extra cost for extended hours?
Want to capture those memorable snaps of you and your bridesmaids getting 'wedding day ready'? Or perhaps it is vital to have the rocking late night dance floor on film? Discuss with your photographer what you would like captured on the day to come up with a reasonable shooting time line that fits within your budget. Your photographer will present a range of package options and even customise a package to suit you.
5. How many photographers are included?
With a second photographer at your wedding day, special moments can be captured from multiple locations and angles. You’ll have two different views and perspectives of everything that happens – more photos, more fun, more love! This is also a great idea when the bride may be getting ready in one hotel room and the groom is at another location… on the other side of town!
6. How many edited photos are included?
Discuss with your photographer how many images you would like to keep/purchase.
7. How long until they are ready?
It is important for you to confirm a timeframe of how long it will take the photographer to get your images back to you – especially if you need them for something special, like a Real Wedding submission to Brides of Adelaide.
8. How are the images provided?
Your options are endless - USB’s, disc, photo album, drop box etc.… Photographers offer incredible packages with some gorgeous keepsake pieces.
9. What happens in an emergency?
It is crucial you confirm with your photographer what steps will be taken if they were to fall violently ill or were unable to make the wedding. Is there a back-up photographer available?
10. How much?
Always work within your budget but remember, these photos are forever. They are a beautiful memento that you will look back on for years to come. Take your time, do your research, meet with your favourites and ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable with your chosen photographer/s. Trust us, this is one aspect of your wedding planning that is worth the extra time and spend!

THE COUPLE: NARELLE + ADAM
PALETTE: Silver and white. An elegant look with an abundance of white blossoms and green ivy.
THE DRESS: My dress was so elegant! It was a gorgeous ball gown style made from ivory French chiffon. The bodice consisted of hand stitched lace and crystal beading atop invisible tulle. Lace was stitched on the sides of the sleeves and across the back of the dress. The design was delicately finished off with a silk ivory belt across the waist.
THE CEREMONY: We pictured a small intimate ceremony. The church was recently renovated and absolutely stunning. On the aisle pews we placed ivy arrangements alongside white ribbon and at the end were two urns with white blossoms and green ivy.
THE RECEPTION: It was a winery wedding brought to the city. Adam and I wanted the day to be central for all guests and also needed a reception venue large enough to hold our extensive guest list. We have always loved the National Wine Centre so it was the perfect location.
THE DÉCOR: Welcome signs and a mirrored seating chart greeted guests as they arrived at the reception. The entire room was decorated beautifully and exactly how I imagined. White draping and crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling with gorgeous florals filling the tables.
THE FLOWERS: My bridal bouquet was a cluster of white roses with green buds and the girls carried an assortment of pink-hued roses. The table centrepieces were a custom-made silver stand with draping green ivy and white blossoms. A similar arrangement with roses trailed the edge of the bridal table.
PHOTOGRAPHER: Adam and I were looking for natural and classic photography. Belle Photo were recommended to us by friends and we loved their photos. They had worked with I Do Cinema (who did our video) on several occasions so we knew they would collaborate well together. Joe was very professional with great ideas and he gave us multiple looks to choose from to ensure we felt comfortable.

Be inspired by the rays of Tuscany + infuse your wedding celebration with the romantic elements of old-world European style. Historic, elegant + beautifully organic, create a soiree that celebrates love, exquisite wines + the best dining. Spend the night amongst the stars with those that mean the most, basking in the rustic surroundings with your new hubby. Begin with neutral palette, with subtle hints of misty grey + blues, embodying the elegance of this concept. Decorate with olive branches, an array of candles + the odd white rose, allowing for the beauty to radiate through the simplicity of your décor. Channel that old-world romance; soft + feminine with robust elements of branches + vintage rustic surroundings. As a region famous for incredible food + wine, provide your guests with a dining experience like no other. Long tables will create a family-dinner affair complete with love, laughter + memories.

As a young girl, Alli Lynch would cut up fabrics and create outfits for her dolls and teddy bears. These days, the gifted designer and owner of Betrothed is creating exquisite bridal and evening gowns. Attributing her creative flair to her artist grandfather and sewer grandmother, Alli has been designing and crafting bridal and evening gowns for fourteen years.
The journey began when Alli did work experience at Betrothed when she was just sixteen and continued when she stayed to work at the shop for four years whilst studying at TAFE. When the business was sold to new owners, Alli’s passion for bridal design did not waver and she first worked from her parent’s living room and then in a studio she set up in her garage. When the opportunity came up to take over Betrothed, the very shop where the passion was first ignited, Alli jumped at the chance. She believes that when it comes to choosing a wedding gown, you should be able to try on dresses and come up with designs in a fun, pressure-free environment. With this mantra in mind, a lot of love and care has transformed Betrothed into the warm and welcoming character filled boutique it is today.
I love the timeless classic designs of Christian Dior and Chanel, think Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn. I also love the colour and the fun of designers like Alannah Hill.
Fabric! I love fabric, I will often see fabric I love and hold on to it for years until I know exactly what I want to do with it. Also, family, friends and clients all inspire me in different ways to always be better than you already are.
A fresh approach to bridal design...
I believe in excellent customer service. It is so important to listen and to get to know and understand your client’s wishes. To me, it is about working together with my client to create their dream gown.
There is nothing more rewarding than happy tears from brides and their family when they walk out in their gown!
A typical day at work...
We are always at work by 8 am. It gives us an uninterrupted hour to get organised and going for the day. Then my day is filled with pattern making, cutting dresses, hand sewing, meetings/fittings with clients and placing fabric orders whilst singing the alphabet and changing nappies!
Something people do not know about me…
I am a Port supporter through and through!
Favourite place to hang out in Adelaide…
On the weekend we love to go to Henley where we can just hang out on the beach, enjoy grabbing a bite to eat and just relaxing.
